Summer and Autumn - Coming Soon

What is the Embodying Series about?

The Embodying Series Yoga Day Retreats are designed to help you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and remember what it feels like to have nowhere else to be.

I will blend dynamic yoga, somatic movement, mindful rest, and meaningful connection. Each retreat offers space to explore curiosity, playfulness, strength, softness, and self-discovery. Embody the practice and maybe even start to take yoga off the mat.

These are days to move, breathe, reflect, and reconnect — with your body, your mind, and the present moment.

You are stronger than you think you are.

Embodied Summer

Expansion, vitality, expression

Embrace the expansive energy of summer through a nourishing day of movement, play, rest, and connection. This retreat will include Mandala Vinyasa inspired by the warmth and vitality of the sun, blending breathwork, mindful flow, yin yoga, and opportunities for inversion play and exploration.

Beyond the mat, there will be space to reconnect with nature through wild swimming, sauna sessions, and time to unwind on the lawns beneath the summer sky.

The day will also include healing somatic movement practices and a nourishing vegetarian lunch to leave you feeling energised, grounded, and deeply restored.

Embodied Autumn

Grounding, release, integration

As the seasons begin to shift, this retreat offers an invitation to slow down, soften, and reconnect inward.

Through grounding Mandala Vinyasa, healing somatic movement, guided meditation, journalling, and mindful outdoor walks, the day is designed to support reflection, release, and nervous system restoration.

With a cosy lounge space for nourishing food, meaningful conversation, and quiet moments of rest, Embodied Autumn is an opportunity to pause, recalibrate, and embrace the beauty of seasonal change — both within and around you.

What is Mandala Vinyasa?

Mandala Vinyasa is a beautiful practice that focuses on the felt sensations as you move your body around the mat in a circular sequence.

Expect focused breathwork to activate, Yin postures to prepare the physical and energetic body, a dynamic Vinyasa sequence that explores 360° of the mat and your body, and a blissful relaxation to regulate the nervous system.

I have been exploring Mandala Vinyasa for many years and feel it is such a full practice that offers something for everyone.

Yes, there will be a chance to invert and balance on your hands. There will also be an invitation to dial into the felt sensation and step into radical self awareness.

This style of yoga practice is inclusive and suitable for all levels.

What is Somatic Movement?

Somatic Movement is the practice of deeply listening to our bodies. Our bodies are constantly sending us messages, and sometimes we just need to remember how to listen.

This healing practice helps us release deeply held tension, regulate the nervous system, and reconnect with the inner trust that can easily be lost in the rush of everyday life.

Instead of moving for our bodies, learn to move with them. Listen inwardly and respond in the moment. This practice emphasises that rest supports restoration, softness can be a source of strength, and healing emerges not through force, but through awareness, presence, and attunement.

Both Mandala Vinyasa and Somatic Movement are practices I regularly come back to. These practices have changed my perception of life, opened my eyes to new possibilities, and have definitely made me stronger.

Joining a yoga retreat can come with expectations. My advice is to come with an open mind.

If you find that you are craving time for you, to not worry about anyone else, then that could be a sign that you need to disconnect in order to reconnect.

I create a space and an itinerary that I would personally want to do. I am sharing with you my practice of reconnecting with myself, community, and nature.

In my opinion, there is nothing more comforting and humbling than open space.

What's Included?

Yoga

There will be two "yoga" sessions. The morning practice will be dynamic and playful, offering challenges and opportunities to push limits, while the afternoon will be a much slower-paced Somatic Movement practice.

Lunch

Food is included in the day! A healthy vegetarian buffet-style lunch will be served. Tea and coffee will be available throughout the day, along with light snacks for any grazers (like me) in the herd.

Summer Swims

During the July retreat, we will have access to a beautiful sauna, a plunge pool, and a swimming lake with a lifeguard on duty. Our lifeguard will share some tips for cold-water swimming, preparing you if you want to continue this wild adventure beyond our time together. Swimming in the wild is perfect for a refreshing cool down and gives you a boost of endorphins.

Autumn Meditations

On the October retreat, the focus will be towards meditation. There will be time to walk the grounds and take in the autumn colours, or choose to stay in the luxurious lounge area to reflect, journal, and connect. You will receive prompts to ponder either with your journal or in meditation. There will be time for further discussion into yogic teachings and Q&A opportunities.

Such a great day, starting with a warm welcome and light breakfast followed by yoga with Abi at a level right for you, challenging yourself if you want to. The swim expert was great and made getting into the lake in April safe and fun and much easier than I imagined! Lovely views from the sauna. All equipment provided. Lunch was delicious and the somatic movement session was the best bit of a great day. I’d highly recommend.

FAQ's

What is Somatic Movement?

Somatic Movement is a deeply healing and nourishing practice that encourages us to feel inwards and listen to the soma (the body). I will guide you through very simple and accessible movements that will release tension throughout the body and mind. Somatic’s is suitable for all.

I'm a beginner. Can I still join?

Absolutely yes! I believe the yoga studio can hold space for mixed levels and my aim as a teacher is to create that space in an encouraging and inviting environment. The foundation of my style of practice is based around the motto “Do what you can, leave the rest.” All I ask is that you embrace the practice with curiosity and wonder. Leave judgement and self-doubt behind.
